Silent Alerts to Caregivers

Audible alarms create agitation and confusion for your residents, often resulting in additional incidents, especially with residents experiencing dementia.

Early Warning that a Resident is Out of Bed for Too Long

Data shows that as many as half of the falls occur at night when the caregivers thought the resident was in bed asleep.

Paperless Incident Tracking System

Is your incident reporting process based upon multiple, and repetitious paper documents? Eliminate the paper, streamline the process AND improve the accuracy and analysis of fall incidents. Free your caregivers to care for your residents rather than filling out forms.

Personal Care Home

The SilentAlert Resident Attendant System is the only system designed specifically for the Assisted Living and Memory Care Unit environments to help caregivers better manage their residents and maintain their comfort, safety and high quality of life.

Current methods of monitoring residents involve one or more of the following:

  • manual and periodic checks
  • bed alarms
  • nurse call buttons
  • emergency response devices

Each of these methods are flawed. Manual/periodic checks are not effective in that they are only spot checks, they tend to disrupt the quality of sleep for the resident and they distract the caregiver by forcing them to check residents who are asleep while another resident may be laying on their bedroom floor needing help.

Audible bed alarms result in confusion and agitation for the residents and have been shown to create at least as many problems as they solve.

Nurse call buttons and emergency response pendants are simply not reliable because they depend on the resident to push the button -- something that they often do not do. In addition, these devices are REACTIVE, not proactive in that they wait for something to happen before they get help.

The SilentAlert Resident Attendant System monitors your residents at night, when they are in their room sleeping. Statistics show that almost half of the falls in ALF's and ASCU's happen during this time, when the residents are behind a closed door and also when you have the lowest caregiver to resident ratio. If a resident is out of bed longer than a pre-determined amount of time (set by the caregiver), the system silently notifies the caregiver so that they can PROACTIVELY help the resident return to bed safely. This proactive approach, when used as a component of your mobility management program, may help you prevent falls.

If a resident does fall, the Silent Alert system will track that fall and document it in accordance with local and state requirements. The incident tracking system is completely paperless and significantly reduces the work associated with managing the compliance program for fall tracking.

Our outcomes reporting is unmatched in the industry. No longer will you wonder if your results are good or bad...you will know and will be able to leverage data to improve your business or demonstrate your outcomes to your referral customers.

The patent pending SilentAlert Resident Attendant System is the only system of its kind. Here are a few of the ways that our product is unique:

  • We are the ONLY system that offers flexible and silent alert capability without requiring a nurse call system or any special equipment.
  • We are the ONLY system that tracks sleep behavior so that alert settings can be customized for each resident.
  • We are the ONLY system that provides benchmark reports comparing your facility results to similar organizations or other internal facilities.
  • We are the ONLY system that requires limited capital outlay because it is sold as a service.

“Thanks again for all your hard work. The bed occupancy monitor that you installed has been so helpful to Janet. She was going to have to transition to a higher level of care, but now, thanks to SilentAlert, she’s able to remain here with us at Woodside Place. You guys rock!”
